Quick bio: I'm a writer and artist, with 13 cats and lots and lots of roosters; I like growing flowers in my garden, living on the edge of the ocean, and spending my time with nature.
ME IN MAINE:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Long Bio:
Dear friends, casual acquaintances, total strangers, and people who will deny they know me:
My name is Wendy C. Allen.
I am a writer.
I write fiction.
My books are self published because no publisher will touch them. I am considered a renegade writer, one who is not afraid to speak my mind. My books are accused by editors of being too-violent, too political, too M-rated, and too extreme to be considered readable by the mass-public. They are right, for when local religious leaders got a hold of my work, they insighted an religion crazed mob, to kill my pets, destroy my property, and burn down my home.
What is my genre? I really don’t know. I do not stick to just one. It depends on my mood I suppose.
Some of my work reads like horror. A lot of it in fact actually looks like horror, feels like horror, and bleeds like horror. Haunted houses. A serial killer. Cannibals. Freaks. Vampires. An insane asylum. Yep, on the surface it looks an awful lot like horror. Gothic maybe?
But than there is the heart of the story. The romance. The lovers. The affairs. The heartaches. It may look like horror but it leans heavy toward romance as well.
Of course lets not forget the star ships. The aliens. The laser weapons. The portal through solid matter. The intergalactic space wars. The planet made of ice. Another planet made of fire. The mad scientist bent on eternal life. The theme seems to just scream science fiction and space opera.
But wait, I’m overlooking the faeries, namely the Phookas and Sireans, those mischievous creatures from Fae. And the evil sorcerer bent on global intergalactic domination. The ice dragon. The talking cats. A pink frog and his blue zebra. The mushroom forest. Eight foot tall humanoid birds. And blue skinned creatures with formidable “magic” powers. It’s starting to sound like fantasy now.
What is my genre? I have no idea and quite frankly, I really don’t care. I write the Twighlight Manor series and it is a genre unto itself, I just follow its story to wherever it may lead. Why should I pigeonhole it into a one size fits all genre?
My name is Wendy C. Allen.
I am a writer.
I write non-fiction.
What is my genre? Extreme out-side of main-stream. My books are self published because no publisher will touch them. I am considered a renegade writer, one who is not afraid to speak my mind about my outrage against Proctor & Gamble, or criminals who masquerade as "religious leader" and "men of god". My books are accused by editors of being too-violent, too political, too M-rated, and too extreme to be considered readable by the mass-public. They are right, for when local religious leaders got a hold of my work, they insighted an religion crazed mob, to kill my pets, destroy my property, and burn down my home. What to find out just how extreme I can write? I'm the girl behind THIS. I am know as "The Voice of the Voiceless". I speak for the animals. I speak for the trees. I speak for the faeries. I speak for the children. I write to protect those who can not and will not be heard. I write for justice. I write for vengeance. I write to defend those who can not defend themselves. There are not many who read my work and like what they read.
I'm an artist and author, and a part time sales rep (originally for Avon, but currently for Macy's)
I'm 33, my favorite group for about 21 years was Poison, but than I found out about Serj Tankian and he's my favorite singer now.
My other faves are David Bowie, Alice Cooper, System of a Down, and my fave musician ever is Liberace`.
Liberace is like my ultimate hero. I started watching his show on TV when I was about 2 years old, and by te time I was 5 I had started dressing like him, and have dressed like him ever since. When I go out in public, my cloths cause commotions and every body is always stopping to ask my what it is I'm dressed up as; they get the shock of their lives when I tell them I'm not dressed up as anything, but that these are just my normal daily wear cloths. I've got Liberace` records all over the house. He's my constant inspiration.
I'm a farmer, so I never really get any days off, which doesn't matter, because if I did, I'd spend my time doing what I already do, which is rescuing feral cats and unwanted rooster. Right now I've got 13 cats and about 70 roosters, though at one point I had over 200 roosters and 500 hens all at the same time (all pets). I used to a horse, for years and years, but she was a really old abused horse when I got her (lost one of her eyes from her past owner beating her, she was really messed up when I got her). I had her 14 years. The vet guessed she was close to 50 years old at the time she died.
Food? I'm a vegetarian, and I love pizza and all sorts of Asian food. I think I eat rice with almost every meal! Cause we live on a farm I eat a lot of fresh vegetables which we grew ourselves. Swiss Chard I think is my fave, and also Nappa Cabbage.
Books. Ouch. I've been collecting books since I was 3 years old, and I buy books at a rate of about 10 to 20 a week. Today my collection stands at 10,000 books and 7,000 comic books, a total of 17,000 books, meaning I have more books than the local library which only has 12,000 books. I love Ben Franklin, he's one of my "heroes", I've read everything he wrote at least once. My favorite authors are Kieth Laumer, Don Rosa, Edgar Alan Poe, and JKRowlings.
I'm a Whovian and proud of it!
